Titisee – Schattenmühle
You start your hike from the Saiger height above the Titisee over the high ridge. From there you have a beautiful view of Lake Titisee, Feldberg and the peaks of the Austrian and Swiss Alps. The path leads you to the first highlight, the "Wutachschlucht". This nature reserve creates an exciting primeval landscape with romantic gorges and cascading waterfalls.

Schattenmühle – Blumberg
Today you walk along the Wutach to Achdorf, where the river is deflected toward the Rhine. You can reach todays destination Blumberg through the "Blumberg gate" – a former river bed between two mountains. Once there, you should take a look at the famous "Sauschwänzlebahn", a steam locomotive that winds through many bends and narrow loops through the breathtaking scenery.

Blumberg – Tengen
Today's walk takes you away from the official paths. Randen offers a stunning site: the blue stone, a rock group from up to 10 meters high basalt columns, which was formed during the eruption of the westernmost Hegau volcanoes. The remaining kilometers pass through a charming landscape to todays destination Tengen.

Tengen – Engen
The next stage takes you from Tengen past the bird sanctuaries Hegaualb over the Duggenhart, one of the higher wooded hills, that the old post path touches. You wander leisurely through a harmonious forest landscape and after a few hours you arrive in Engen.

Engen – Singen
The seven Hegau mountains pile up together. In the 846 m high mountain you still find the remains of the ruin Hohenhewen. From the observation deck you can marvel the Hegau and on clear days even Lake Constance and the Alps. On an open field you hike over the summit, past the ruin Mägdeberg to Singen with its numerous cultural monuments.

You now have the choice between two different routes to Radolfzell. The longer trip takes you to on the official route past the picturesque lake Steisslinger and the ruin Homberg, from where you have wonderful views over the Untersee with the isle Reichenau and the Peninsula Mettnau of Radolfzell. The shorter path leaves the "Querweg" and leads you through nature reserve Ziegeleiweiher over to Lake Constance.
