The most diverse landscape forms, from the majestic Alps in the south over gentle hilly country, low mountain ranges and lake landscapes up to the wide flat country with its dreamlike beaches in the north can be found together in Germany.
Hiking on mountains, along lakes, rivers and the coast, on panoramic paths, rallies, theme hikes, long distance hiking trails - the offering is almost endless, the network of hiking trails incredibly dense and all tours are well signposted. We make a mention here, selected purely by chance, of the Rennsteig, a panoramic high-level trail in Thuringia, and the circular hike on Rügen, a real insider tip for hikers.
