High up on the hills of the Emmental, Moosegg is a small oasis far away from hectic Swiss everyday life. The peace and quiet found here will also accompany you on your hike through the Gantrisch Nature Park, where the hectic pace of everyday life fades away. While there is still some activity in the wide Aare valley, the clocks in the Gürbetal turn much slower. The path meanders leisurely through Schwarzenburger land and leads you past flower-decorated farms and through small villages. The landscape before you is peaceful and only the splashing of the small rivers along the way shows that the world is still turning. Finally, you see Lake Schwarzsee before you like a painting and marks the end of your little break on the Alpine Panorama Trail.
The villages become bigger, the hills rounder and lower, but the view remains the same. After a short ascent to Blasenfluh, the continuation of the path is almost just a leisurely walk downhill to the wide Aare valley near Münsingen.
From the Aare valley over the Belpberg, which stands like a huge island in the landscape, into the vegetable country Gürbetal and up the Längenberg to the impressive ruins of the Rüeggisberg monastery. Again and again magnificent views of the Bernese Alps.
A last view of the ice-crowned Bernese Alps, then down into the Schwarzwassergraben to the oldest concrete arch bridge in the world. From the Schwarzenburg Plateau through meadows and forests to the scenic Guggershörnli with its famous Vreneli.
From the Bernese farming village of Guggisberg down to the dreamy hamlet of Hirschmatt; over a wooded range of hills into the primeval Sensegraben near Zollhaus, across into the canton of Fribourg and along the Warmen Sense to the Schwarzsee holiday centre.
