Tour character

The ride across the Alps is made somewhat easier by the short stages. From Amsteg steadily uphill and after the pass steadily downhill. Traffic must be expected around the urban centres. Cobblestones on the Tremolastrasse on the Gotthard.

On many trips, we use the luggage counters at the stations at the beginning and at the end to hand over the suitcases. You can conveniently combine this right away when you arrive by train. If you are a GA owner, you can provide this information when booking. We will credit you the amount on the invoice. If you don't need the coupon for the trip itself, you can use it during the year. Unfortunately, a retroactive refund is not possible for administrative reasons.

Great trip (once we figured a few things out)
The Eurotrek team did a good job setting up our trip. The hotels were nice and the hotel staff was very accommodating (our bags were always waiting in our room). The bikes were fine but it took some time to get them sorted. One of the bikes was provided with both tires too low on air to ride and the pump provided was not adequate for inflating it. Luckily, there was a petro station right across from our first hotel and I could inflate the tires. The routes were not provided, they simply sent use to the Swiss mobility app. I couldn’t figure that out so I used Komoot to do my own route planing and load them into my Wahoo (highly recommended). That worked out great and as it turned out, much of the ride that I planned, matched the Swiss National bike routes. I could map the rides precisely from hotel to hotel and we didn’t need to try to put the bikes on a train. I will say the few times I called Eurotrek during our tour, they were great. Once (after hours) they responded very fast… and the other time, when we asked that our luggage be delivered to a different final address and early in the day, they accommodated that request with ease. We really appreciated that. I would use them again.

Nord-Süd-Route
