Itinerary
From Zweisimmen uphill to the Seebergsee in the Spillgerten nature reserve. The uneven landscape with ancient Swiss stone pines is a place of power, which invites you to stop for a while and observe life.
On the Experience Trail, Grimmimutz caters for fun and in entertaining fashion gives information on how to treat the natural world. The Talweg, leads out of the valley alongside a babbling mountain stream; many stone dwarves on the new section between Horboden and Oey. From Oey, take the train to Spiez.
Take the train back to Oey and continue by cable car to the Stockhorn. A brief view into the country and then down to Walalp. A unique panoramic hike follows. The path leads below the peaks of the Gantrisch chain to the Leiterepass and from there to the Gantrisch hut. You will spend the night under a clear starry sky.
A short detour to Gäggersteg and onwards to Zollhaus on panoramic paths with views of the nearby peaks of the Gantrisch. Enjoy regional specialities during a short stop. Then follow a gently ascending hiking trail along the Warme Sense to the shore of the sparkling Schwarzsee.
From charming Schwarzsee to Breccaschlund and into the jagged limestone landscape of the Greyerzer Alps, over the relatively low Euschelspass, carved out by glaciers, to Jaun, the only German-speaking village in the Gruyère region.
The stage from Jaun to Gruyères will delight food fans, culture lovers and nature enthusiasts. As you walk along the Jogne and the Sarine River, you'll notice the many different ways in which water has shaped the landscape. Churches, chapels and the unique heritage of the La Gruyère region are some of the places to visit. After arrival in Gruyères train ride to Bulle. Luggage pick-up and departure.
