Backpack on the coast

A well-packed daypack is very important for a hiking tour. However, the most important things are those that you don’t even take with you, because even trained persons can only carry about 20-25% of their body weight over a longer period of time.

Your daypack should never weigh more than 12 kg.

You should pack the following in your daypack:

  • Functional jacket and rain trousers
  • Perhaps a pair of shorts
  • You should pack the following in your daypack
  • Fleece/insulating jacket
  • Light-weight gloves
  • Cap or headband
  • Rain cover for the rucksack
  • Sun hat/cap
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen lotion, lip balm
  • First-aid kit
  • Pocket knife
  • ID, tickets for transfers if required
  • Mobile phone (check the charge on the previous evening)
  • Drinking bottle
  • Tour book, documents for the day
  • Hotel list (in case there are several accommodations at the stopover location)
