Cycling Holidays in Denmark

A paradise for cyclists

Flat landscapes and a dense network of cycle paths inspire young and old. National and regional routes are similarly well signposted as in "Veloland Switzerland".

Journeys on two wheels in Denmark take you along the Baltic Sea coast or to the Danish South Sea, to picturesque islands and dreamy fishing or inland villages; beautiful beaches and a spicy sea breeze are frequent companions.

The capital Copenhagen can also be best explored by bike, the historic centre just as well as the old harbour with the legendary Little Mermaid.

Discover Copenhagen

Cycling City Copenhagen

Welcome to Copenhagen - probably the most bike-friendly city in the world. Thanks to an exemplary and flat network of cycle paths, cycling in Copenhagen is twice as much fun. From here, you can explore the surrounding area on your bike. And the Danish capital invites you to stroll around in your free time: A visit to the famous Tivoli amusement park is a must, as is a visit to the Little Mermaid.

If you like shopping, your heart will beat a little faster in Copenhagen: Danish design, but also international shops can be found in the lively pedestrian zones.

Hungry cyclists can recharge their batteries in the numerous restaurants: from gourmet temples to hip restaurants and traditional pubs, every guest will find something to his or her liking.

Energie tanken können hungrige Velofahrer in den zahlreichen Restaurants: Von Gourmettempel über hippe Restaurants bis hin zu traditionellen Kneipen findet jeder Gast, was ihm mundet.

Along the Danish coast

From the Danish capital, you can either discover the coast along the Kattegat or the historic Roskilde, famous for its cathedral, UNESCO World Heritage Site, and for the rock festival at the end of June on a star tour. Or you can sail from Copenhagen through diverse Zealand, along endless coastal areas and natural sandy beaches to castles and palaces and with a detour to Sweden.

By the way, the Danes are among the happiest people in the world. One of the most important reasons: their attitude to life "hygge", the Danish cosiness. Let yourself be infected by hygge and take a piece of cosiness home with you.
