Hiking Holidays Via Alpina "Bear trek" with charm

Hiking: Via Alpina "Beartrek"

Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau

Discover Switzerland's most impressive sights. Hiking on the Beartrek you'll travel on a unique route that passes glaciers and spectacular passes. The route “Via Alpina” leads along the three most famous Swiss mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau through valleys and canyons to the well known ski-resort Adelboden-Lenk.

Most likely you won’t meet any bears on this tour, but this hiking tour owes its name to the time when only wild animals could pass it. Nowadays, the trail is in very good condition but it is still not an easy stroll, as there are some passes you'll need to cross. On the heights and summits, however, you will be rewarded for your alpinistic efforts. Let the perfect and impressive beauty of the Alps take your breath away.

Super Tour, tolle Betreuung

I can't figure out why the trails aren't busier!
This was my second trip with Eurotrek hiking on the Via Alpina in central Switzerland. The walking is great, with a good mix of terrain (high alpine wilderness, paths in ski resorts, and walks though villages and pastures. This route has a few high passes and some longer days, but the views are worth the challenge. There were many options for shortening days (bus, train, cable car) or skipping entire stages if needed. Eurotrek sent me clear communications about a diversion on the route (due to flooding) and recommending alternate routes because of a significant snow storm which hit the higher elevations for the start of my trip. It was good to know that they were keeping an eye on things. Hotels were clean and comfortable, with easy check in and hassle-free baggage transfers. There were bakeries, grocery stores, and restaurants, close to each hotel except for one night where the hotel was not in a town. Given how much I enjoyed this section of the Via Alpina, I just can't figure out why there were not more people on the trail!

The hiking
Much more difficult that I thought, but with shorts cuts were possible to make it. The views were incredible.

Exactly the trip I wanted out of Switzerland!
I spent weeks trying to plan a trip on my own, and finally found the Eurotrek website. They helped me with all the challenging parts of planning an adventurous trip. They booked accommodation, helped me plan the trip, allowed for changes to see other parts of the Lauterbrunnen valley, transferred luggage, and provided weather suggestions that saved my trip. They also were very available during my trip for questions or issues that I had. I can't wait to return for another hiking or cycling trip in Switzerland, and would start with Eurotrek and save myself a few weeks!

Wunderschöne Reise, allerdings mit organisatorischem Verbesserungspotenzial
5 Sterne-Wanderung! Das mag verstehen wer will. Deshalb organisatorischer Punktabzug!!!
