Cycling around Colmar
Where the clocks tick very quietly

Arrival in Colmar
Arrival in Colmar, check-in at the hotel and time for free sightseeing around of the town.
You will leave Colmar heading north through Houssen and ride to Ribeauvillé, before returning to Colmar through the beautiful wine villages of Riquewihr, Turckheim and Eguisheim.
Colmar – Munster
From Colmar you start in the direction of Munster Valley, through Turckheim and Zimmerbach. Gently rounded hills, high alpine pastures, steep slopes and glacial lakes form the varied landscape of the Munster Valley, one of the most beautiful of the Vosges massif.
Known for its Munster cheese, take time to visit the Maison du Fromage. You cycle back to Colmar on a pleasant cycle path through nature and small villages.
After the stages in the vineyards, today's route is a leisurely one through the Rhine Valley. In Neuf-Brisach, you will pass the imposing octagonal baroque fortress, built around 1700 by Vauban, Louis XIV's master fortress builder.
After crossing the Rhine bridge, Breisgau awaits! Back in France, a Maginot Line bunker from World War II can be visited in Marckolsheim. On the canal cycle path it goes back to Colmar.
From Colmar we follow the French Wine Route. Dreamy wine villages with lots of Alsatian half-timbering and wonderful medieval village centers in the midst of extensive vineyards are the setting to relax, enjoy and simply unwind.
From Guebwiller, cycle to Bollwiller to catch the train directly or continue to Ungersheim past the Ecomusée d'Alsace, the open-air museum. From here, the bike path then leads directly to Mulhouse. Return to Colmar by train.
Strasbourg
The trains to Strasbourg run almost every hour or half-hour. If you still want to ride a little bit, take the train with your bike and get off at the station Estein. You will then take the advantage of an attractive trail of 25 km until Strasbourg. You will come back to Colmar by train.
