This tour will take you to the German side of the Rhine where you will enjoy landscapes and villages before going back to Alsace on the Wine Route. You will cycle through the heart of Strasbourg, Freiburg and Colmar, three beautiful cities displaying architectural and cultural wealth. You will have the opportunity to visit a wine cellar with a wine tasting that will awaken your taste buds for sure!

Itinerary

Arrival in Strasbourg, hotel Check-In and an opportunity for free sightseeing.

An easy and flat stage! You leave Strasbourg, site of numerous European institutions, through deep forests and along the Rhine riverbank.

A somewhat long but very flat stage. Without difficulty, you ride through the villages of the Rhine to the art city of Freiburg.

approx. 50 km

You have the opportunity for a long and thorough visit to Colmar, the Alsatian city of art.

approx. 58 km

The villages of Eguisheim, Turckheim, Kaysersberg and Riquewihr are among the most beautiful and most famous villages of the Wine Route. A slightly hilly stage through the vines.

Many beautiful wine-growing villages and vineyards await you today.

In Rosheim, Alsatian Romanesque reaches a high point. In Molsheim, you leave the vineyards behind and follow the beautiful cycle path alongside the Canal de la Bruche to Strasbourg.

You will ride mainly on cycle paths, on minor agricultural tarred roads or onlittle secondary roads without much traffic. Days 5 and 6 are a little bit hilly.

Tolle Tour
Diese Tour würde ich sofort wieder machen. Hat alles gestimmt: Buchung, Betreuung, Tour und selbst das Wetter war super. Einziger kleiner Minuspunkt: das Hotel in Colmar war kein Heuler. Kleines, dunkles Zimmer mit unverstelltem Blick in den Hinterhof.

"Heisse" Veloferien
Die Velorouten waren gut gewählt und führten oft durch die Natur, was uns sehr gefallen hat. Alles war super - nur die Hitze plagte uns. In Obernai zeigte das Thermometer am Hotel 44°! Schon morgens um 9 Uhr war es 31° warm. So waren die Aufstiege in die Weindörfer sehr anstrengend. Es war super, dass Sie alle unsere Wünsche bzgl. Unterkunft und Veloausstattung berücksichtigt haben! Die Landkarten sind schwach gedruckt, so dass vieles (Strassen, Wege, Ortsnamen ...) undeutlich ist. Die GPS-Daten haben geholfen.
